Namaste and thanks for stopping in.
Let me give you a little glimpse into who I am. My main passions in life are yoga, writing, nutrition and children, though there is an abundance of other things I love to do, such as snowshoeing, hiking and swimming, but we are here to focus on what I do for a living–and how I can introduce you to wonderful new things you haven’t tried before.
Or maybe you have, but you are looking for something a little different.
I’ve been certified in the Iyengar method of yoga for five years, but have been teaching it for ten, and studying it for over two decades. It was during extensive travels throughout Asia, (I lived in Japan for a decade) that I began to explore yoga’s therapeutic effects, Vispassana meditation and food as medicine. I studied Holistic nutrition through the Edison Institute and hold my Bsc in Applied Nutrition. After my first daughter was born I realized how much I loved children, and helped a friend of mine through her first labour in Japan–which that led to me becoming a doula, and later to creating “Little Feet Kids Yoga,” my children’s yoga classes.
I have been blessed to be able to turn my passions into a career. I have taught family yoga in Mexico and offer international yoga trips.
I’ve always enjoyed reading and have kept journals since I was a teen and can happily say that I’m a graduate from Simon Fraser University’s TWS creative writing program.
What you’ll find on my site/blog is information on courses and classes I teach, as well as news, tips, ideas, book reviews and more, on anything that falls within the triangle of yoga, nutrition, and writing. Welcome.
