Dhana! This is lovely. I too have contemplated this a few times when my husband goes on business trips but guilt always wins out in the end and I tell him before he leaves. The painting gets done anyway but there’s no element of surprise. One of these days!

This is a very poignant reminder to slow down and smell the flowers. How beautiful that your friend wrote this piece about her joyous afternoon with your daughter and that you now have this as a memento of her and her time with your daughter.
